Our advice is to go here by bike, after a bike tour on the island; just drop your bike to the stations located at the entrance of the park! On your return you can hop on the ferry and head for Fotografista. So, you can take beautiful pictures (as below) and enjoy.

Fotografiska

First of all; Stockholm is one of the best cities in terms of art, museums, shops and even restaurants and bars! If you are planning to visit the museums during your trip, the city may force you a bit about time management.

Fotografiska was the most popular modern art museum in the city. The "Like a Horse" exhibition was very impressive. You can see the exhibitions on the date you will go on Fotografiska's website. If you want to spend time in the restaurant and shop in Fotografiska, check out the closing hours.

Stockholm:| Bikes

The majority of the population prefers bicycles for transportation in Stockholm. You can see people cycling 🚲 around the city at any time of the day for sports or for work / school / shopping. There are also many tourists biking around the city like us.

You may also prefer bikes for transportation around the city. If you want to rent bikes or explore other options, you can find them in this post.

Stockholm:| Parks

Of course the museums and historical sites are great places to visit, but beside those touristic places; we love to spend hours at the parks. It won't be wrong if we say that the whole city is surrounded with parks.

If you are the ones that show up in the parks when you see a little sunshine in the air; you will feel the magic of this city. It is amazing to lie down under the sun and enjoy the soft grass in the parks!

We went to Gamla Stan, thinking that the tourist attractions could be open during the holidays. But because of the MidSummer*, we saw the "closed" sign on the doors and we were only able to have breakfast there. Afterwards, we decided to buy some drinks** and enjoy the sun at "Högalidsparken".

**Alcohol sales are regulated by the state: You can get alcohol at restaurants and bars, but if you want to take a sip of your drink at your home, there is single legal option; from one of state-run alcohol sales points (Systembolaget) - approximately 400 stores. In addition to that, to get alcohol from these points; you need to have an ID, or a passport with you.

*In mid-June, school is out and nature has burst into life. It seems like the sun never sets. In fact, in the north of Sweden it doesn’t, and in the south only for an hour or two. This calls for celebration! Friends and family gather for the most typically Swedish tradition of all: Midsummer.

Stockholm:| Subways

Everywhere in the city is like a work of art. These guys have even turned the subways into museums! It's really a great idea to turn the subway stations into art and make the whole world admire. It might be better to tell with photos:

One of the things to do in Stockholm is to visit Scandinavian design shops. We visited 8 shops and wanted to talk about them here.
